THE PHILISTINES JR

Over twenty-five years ago, brothers Peter and Tarquin Katis began releasing music as The Philistines Jr. Multiple albums, tours, Peel Sessions and side projects followed throughout the 90s, their intriguing brand of experimental indie-pop simultaneously endearing and/or off-putting fans and critics alike.

An unintended hiatus followed as a result of Peter’s producing endeavors with Interpol and The National amongst others, however in 2010, the band re-emerged with the sprawling “If a band plays in the woods…?” LP, receiving excited support across heavyweight publications incl. PITCHFORK, PASTE and STEREOGUM.
